Cop Seminar 3

Deconstruction - A questioning of hierarchies and structures, a mode of thinking. 
'Design, Writing, Research' Lupton and Miller, 1996: Ellen Lupton explores aspects and methods of deconstruction, analysing Derrida's theories. 

- Attention is paid to the context in which something exists. 
- Our understanding of anything is through representation, e.g language
- Nothing is perceived from purely interior consciousness 
- Speech is better than writing, but writing is better than typography
- Typography inhabits the written word
